On day when I was about to start my 2 mile run on the upper track of the gym I looked down and noticed the combination of socks and shoes I had on. The colors stood out so much that I had to snap a photo. I could tell that people looked down at my feet before they looked at me when I was walking through the gym. I guess I’m a walking fashion statement now. Oh, and make sure to get your 60 minutes of physical activity a day !

For this post I took it to digital media and made myself as a video game character. The game was NCAA Football 2012 for PS3. I used my high school number, #5, and in the game I play for Boise State University (where my dad and uncle played in the early 90’s. It’s weird seeing yourself in a game as a character and the announcers saying your last name but its cool at the same time.
Other than my cartoon characters wearing Nikes this post does not really match my blog’s theme. It is a storyboard that I made during one of the group presentation’s last week. I had to use metaphors and cartoons to portray an event. I did mine about the Trayvon martin case controversy, using corn dogs as blacks and pickles as whites to show the story.
When I recently went home I was talking to my friends Dad, who is a scout for the Green Bay Packers and he let me try on his Super Bowl Ring. I think that these are one of the most prized possessions in life for someone involved in sports. Everyone who plays competitive sports dreams of earning a championship ring. And the limited number of people who own a Super Bowl Ring in the world makes them that more special. I was lucky enough just to have one on my finger for a few seconds.
Crossing by the library I have seen this tight roping station for a long time. So one day after playing basketball I decided to try something new. I got about two steps in before falling off but it was still fun. I then found out that tight roping has been going on since the 18th century. I always wonder what new sport I will try out next.
While it was on my spring break at home I got to be able to watch my little brother’s baseball game for the first time all season. I really wasn’t paying attention the whole time because I don’t really like baseball and it being little league makes it even worse. But eventually I got up to sit with my parents to pay attention and when I walked by the dugout I noticed his number. Without my request or him even asking me, he decided to wear the same number I did in high school football. I thought that was the best compliment of being a big brother ever.
On spring break I stopped by the world famous Muscle Beach on the Venice Beach boardwalk. I thought it would be cool to take a picture flexing after a tough work out. All of the world’s most famous body builders have worked out here and in the off season some professional athletes show off some workouts in public too. Right after I went to the Lakers game which made it an action packed day.
This is an action shot that my brother took of me at Hollywood and Highland center Mall during Spring Break. They had a basket open for people to take shots. He captured it at the perfect time to show the ball in motion at the top, my shooting form at its highest point, and my shoes raised off the ground. It looks like a perfect still shot for something Nike would use, whether it be a billboard, magazine, commercial, or anything else they would use for media.
